Description
This is an introductory course to the study of the etiology (causes) of disease, the signs and symptoms of the disease, the pathophysiology (disease processes), the diagnostic tests associated with the confirmation of the disease, and the medical (pharmacology) and surgical procedures associated with the treatment of the disease. Basic anatomy and physiology for coders is covered. Basic word parts, word division, and pronunciation will be studied as well as medical terms relating to the body systems studied in this course. This course is the completion of study started in the HIT 1040 course. rerequisite: HIT 1040
