Course expectations

Each week students will be expected to complete the following for class:

  • Review the Learning module (LM) per IG, also refer to eLearning frequently for any updates.
  • Complete the assigned reading and ATI modules (see Required Reading list and ATI modules listed within each Course Learning module).  In addition, over the first week there will be a number of ATI modules to be completed prior to the nursing skills lab (NSL).
  • Begin a systematic method to prepare and collect information on medications within drug categories (see LM for specific mediations).
  • Complete pre-class assignments called a "ticket to class".  These brief class assignments will vary and be further developed during group activities e.g. SBAR on a case study related to the Learning Module.
  • Develop your thinking knowledge by becoming "learning partners" in the classroom.  The application and synthesis of knowledge in the classroom (and evaluated by exam questions) comes from consistent content preparation.
  • Enjoy the education journey.
