Description

This course introduces computer concepts (hardware components, systems architectures, operating systems and languages, and software packages and tools) , communication and internet technologies (such as networks, intranet, standards) and common software applications (such as word processing, spreadsheet, database, graphics). This course introduces system architecture and design, data retrieval and maintenance, and data security and data integrity concepts. Indepth study of the operation of databases. Finally, application of systems, policies to information systems, functions and data requests, and system acquisition and evaluation are reviewed. (Hybrid class)?Pre-requisite: none
